Various Voices 2009: London’s Latest Singing & Dancing Rave

by Administrator 30. March 2009 02:53
Nearly 4000 people are expected to attend one of the biggest singing and dancing London events — Various Voices 2009. It is also among the most remarkable social events in the European gay community and is held every four years. The host city is changed every time and this time the honour has come to London. This year, it is bound to emerge as the city’s most captivating social events, since the theme is based on removing discriminations and pre-conceived prejudices that are creating the violence that affects the entire global society. This makes it a slightly different edition of Various Voices, as traditionally, being one of the most noted gay events, it stressed upon engaging more attention towards the cause of LGBT identity, i.e. lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders. The most notable factor that has added more prestige to Various Voices and increased its chances of being counted among London’s most sought-after music events has been its recognition in the form of being awarded with the Olympics 2012 Inspire Mark.

This directly propels it among the most elite list of London gay events, as no other notable gay/lesbian choir festival from the city has ever had the opportunity of upholding Olympic honours of any kind. Various Voices is also known as The European Festival of Song and it is traditionally known to attract the best of talent among the gay and lesbian choirs from across Europe. The last edition of Various Voices (2005) was held in Paris and it was due to the combined efforts of London-based organisations like The London Gay Men’s Chorus, Diversity and The Pink Singers that it has finally come to London. The fact that Various Voices will bring together participants even beyond the European nations is bound to add to its international appeal. It is already making an impact as one of the most eagerly-awaited London events, as more than 2000 singers would converge on the city for the 50 scheduled concerts. It is among those rare music events that allow participants to make the transition from being a novice to a more complete performer.

Further, maintaining its reputation of being counted among the savvy international gay events, training in musical queer studies and beatboxing is also offered. Being one of the most elaborately arranged musical London events, it will be organised over an entire weekend, i.e. from the 01st to 04th May. Various Voices is among the most exclusive of social events to be held in London as it offers several workshops preceding the main event that provide an unmatched opportunity for music lovers to collaborate with their international counterparts. The chosen venue for Various Voices 2009 is Southbank Centre, which is ideal since it boasts of multiple transport service options. Those intending to choose public transport to reach Southbank could try the underground Waterloo and Embankment services or the bus services operating from Waterloo Bridge, Stamford Street, York Road and Belvedere Road. Another option could be using the main rail line of Waterloo East or Charing Cross. A crucial factor for ensuring your seat at such mega London events is about getting your reservations in advance and the craze for Various Voices too is beginning to show.

The London Picasso Experience

by Administrator 22. March 2009 02:38
One of the most reputed art events in London titled ‘Challenging the Past’ is currently underway at the National Gallery. It is among the few London events to have gained the reputation of featuring some of the rarest creations by Picasso. The four-month marathon art exhibition is the endeavour of the National Gallery of London. It has already seen its share of art lovers thronging to see some never-seen-before creations by the maestro, Picasso. It is among the most exclusive of art events across the entire European continent that boasts of displaying masterpieces belonging to the earliest years of Picasso’s career. ‘Challenging the Past’ has a structured feel to it, as it isn't like the usual arts shows that tend to display random creations of a well-known artist. The display has been organised in such a manner that the creations are systematically laid out as they were created by Picasso along his journey of life, the last ones pertaining to his finals days. The fact is that the mere venue of this Picasso exhibition establishes it among the most prestigious of London events, i.e. the National Gallery — the most sought-after venue for art exhibitions in the city. However, it has also managed to make a mark among London’s upmarket social events.

The reason lies in the universal appeal of Picasso’s work and something unusual about this art event — it is able to highlight the various art styles that seemed to merge in Picasso’s work and how his creations over a period of time responded to the changing art styles, including some major artistic revolutions. This transformation is something that is not commonly found in most art shows exhibiting Picasso works. Art aficionados are already saying that they have not seen art exhibitions of this magnitude and that too enriched with so much insight. This has further catalyzed an insatiable demand among the remotest of artistically-inclined folks in London to attend this exhibition, positioning it amongst the educated and distinctively-positioned London social events. However, what makes it a complete London social event and stand apart from the usual art events is the inspiration that is visible at the National Café at the Gallery.

They have created an extraordinary Picasso menu that is inspired from authentic Spanish cuisines, as Spain was Picasso’s homeland. Not many art exhibitions can offer a three-course Spanish menu at £21.50 with native Spanish recipes delivered across an exhaustively detailed menu range. Just consider this — how many art shows and London social events can boast of being able to offer some bottles of the finest wines, like Riojas, at an unbelievable discount of 50 percent! In a way, the London Picasso exhibition can be termed as a collaborative art exhibition, since contributions have bee made by the Musee National Picasso and Musee de Louvre, both from Paris. As a result, some truly exceptional Picasso creations like ‘The Reclining Nude’ have been displayed. This exhibition is scheduled from 25th February to 7th June 2009. This makes the ongoing Picasso Exhibition among the few artistic London events that have seen such elaborate partnership among international art galleries. Admission for children under the age of 12 is free and adult tickets are priced at £12.50, whereas 12 to 18 year-olds would have to pay £6.00 to gain admission.

The British Music Experience

by Administrator 20. March 2009 23:25
The British Music Experience is among the most anticipated musical London events and is a must-see extravaganza for every music follower. It is one of the rare music events that are aimed at presenting both the contemporary and historic forms of British music. The British Music Experience 2009 includes a multitude of musical offerings in the form of presenting performances based on the most famous of musical acts and bands of the yesteryears and a live commentary on the present-day music scene. It is has been counted among the most happening of London’s social events as it is not often that the last sixty years of British music are celebrated under one roof, i.e. the O2 Arena. The Experience is among those rare musical shows that delve beyond the realm of just putting-up enthralling performances. It promised and has delivered to be the most interactive of music events that Britain has ever witnessed. The British Music Experience has already begun at the O2 Arena and has been seeing packed houses since its first show on 09th March 2009 and will continue to captivate audiences till 15th January 2010.

The Experience provides every individual at the O2, a chance of recording their songs along with the chance to pick-up instrumental skills from the legends of the business who will be at the venue. The O2 Arena presents a never-before opportunity to visit the Gibson Interactive Studio and learn to play the guitar, drums and many other electronic instruments and they will be tutored by KT Tunstall, Amy Macdonald and The Magic Numbers. Music events have never offered such levels of participatory interface and now the initiative has been taken further in the form of offering voice coaching modules. The Experience 2009-2010 is among those unique musical shows that emphasize on letting the audience get close and personal with the kind of music they adore.

The O2 Arena has even arranged for special audio-visual spots that give the attendees an insight into how music is actually produced and presented in the format that we have become so accustomed to seeing. Further, those who are keen to trace the history of music have the opportunity of listening to some never-seen-before interviews and even download rare music numbers from the yesteryears. There have been attempts made in the past to trace the history of British music but none of these London events have been as successful and grandeur in their presentation like the Experience. None of the previously-arranged music events have been able to comprehensively relay the glory of British music scene, starting from the forties in such an engaging manner.

The eternal favourites like the Beatles, Dusty Springfield and the Rolling Stones are there to entertain you and so are the modern-day hit bands like Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and Oasis. Further, what has augmented British Music Experience’s reputation among the educated London events is the fact that it tries to trace the affect that music has had on the British society over the past few decades. The reason becomes quite apparent — it is hard to think of musical or social events from the present or past age that have been able to highlight the relationship between music and the society including, its fashion trends, the arts and politics. Collectors too can get their hand on some of the most authentic memorabilia of the Rock & Roll decades. Tickets for the British Music Experience cost £10.00 to £15.00 and there are no known age restrictions.

Street Dancing Just Got Serious: Welcome to London Street Dance Championship

by Administrator 12. March 2009 11:07
The Street Dance Championship 2009 is the most unique among competitive dance-themed London events. This is the only street dancing competition in London that has engaged both serious fan following and international recognition. It offers plenty of dancing categories for which the Championship is annually held. The categories include solos, pairs, groups, teams and run events, all held in compatibility of the SDI (Street Dance International) rules. More recently, running break-dance solo performances have also been included. To be precise, the Championship is often broken down into regional competitions to comprehensively evaluate the best of London’s streetdancing talent. One such local event is the East London Streetdance Championship. The unexpected worldwide acknowledgment that the Championship has evoked has transformed it amongst the most celebrated of London events. In fact, individuals who win prizes across different categories in the competition are further given the chance to compete for UK national freestyle dancing competitions and the eventual winners get to represent the nation across a series of events held across the world.

However, few people realize the importance of street dancing in terms of making a social impact. G Force Productions — the company that has heralded the cause of freestyle and street dancing in the UK, particularly in and around London, has used this as a way to keep troubled youngsters away from crime and use their energies for a more constructive cause. The growing success of the Street Dance Championships has further made a mark in the society by creating the need to open dancing schools and employ young choreographers, some still studying in schools. This is how the Championship has transformed local competitions based on relatively unknown (unconventional) dancing styles into the most impactful social events held in London. In fact, experts are now saying that the level of skill and concentration exhibited by participants in the competition is at par with Olympic athletes. Further, it has also matured into one of the most recognized networking events for the choreographic community. You will often find small teams of recruiters from across the globe gathered here to pick upon talents that capture their imagination. However, this is not the only aspect about the Championship that has propelled it to the league of career events held in London. Just consider this — Street Dance Championship winners are often offered a chance to take part in international movie projects that have substantial scope for these young artists to display their talents.

More recognition is bound to be provided to the performers through the release of DVDs in the local markets that list the best of Street Dance Championship performances for the year. The Championship is now increasingly being regarded as an international event. 2008 saw an intense USA versus the UK battle and the pattern is bound to continue as dancers from both sides refuse to give each other any sort of breathing space. You can count upon seeing the best of UK's street dancers who are keen to prove that they are the best in this genre. Also on display are some amazing and never-seen-before street dance routines and performances by international teams. Street Dance Championship 2009 is sure to make its mark as the most entertaining of London events and the grand finale for the event will see the contestants being handed the opportunity to compete across two categories of their choice. As the participation frenzy for the main event draws near, you can expect hundreds of local streetdancing events being organised in East London inviting participation from b-boxers, graffiti artists and local musicians, turning it into one of London’s biggest outdoor events.

London’s Best: The East End Film Festival

by Administrator 7. March 2009 10:19
The most reputed among film-based London events is the East End Film Festival which is into its eight year of running in 2009. This is the most happening of social events that East London plays host to and in 2009 the convergence of world cinema and Britain’s own domestic movie talents will again provide the most unbelievable experience to audiences. The East End Film Festival is now regarded as the ultimate among Britain film shows that showcase the best and breakthrough domestic filmmakers irrespective of their commercial reputation or movie-making pedigree. It is believed that it also serves as the most useful of film-focussed networking events as it witnesses movie-makers from Britain and the best names from European cinema analyse the best of upcoming movie talents. Film shows that cater to the small-scale movie makers often find it difficult to arrange for audiences for first-time movie-makers but the East End Film Festival is known for scheduling independent releases along with showcasing some of the more prominent films that were made during the year. It has now progressed on to become one of the most sought-after of London’s social events simply due to the multitude of film talents that congregate as a part of this film festival.

Like most other film shows, the East End Film Festival too will mark its grand opening ceremony with the screening of a film. However, what makes it different from other movie-centric London events is the fact that the opening movie, called ‘The End’, is not from a noted production house but from a debutant filmmaker. Scheduled at the Genesis Cinema, East End Film Festival’s opening night is an opportunity of window for home-grown British filmmakers. There are a plethora of other noted movies, some relatively unknown, that will be screened as a part of the Festival, making this event a must-attend for any film junkie or those who are on the lookout for watching movies outside the realm of the conventional or the mainstream. It is hard to think of any other film shows that are able to pack-in so many feature film screenings, particularly those that have been developed entirely in Britain and a few with that have sought international collaboration. The East End Festival is now being counted among London’s rare culturally diverse social events, as the emphasis is also on making people realize the cultural diversity that the city has to offer. Just to substantiate this point — the Festival will screen films such as the ‘Four Chapters’. It was shot in collaboration with Indian filmmakers and is about the life of an affluent Hindu family in London that is trying to make the social transition at the turn of the 20th century. Similarly, not many film shows would showcase movies like the ‘Park’ that has an amazingly different or non-conventional theme — it is about the not-so-known green spaces in the London’s landscape.

The East End Film Festival is among those rare London events that cater to ethnic populations that the nation has. It features a special event that applauds the efforts of the black filmmakers that reside in the UK. It is hard to come-up with the name of other social events that boast of special panels and evenings dedicated to discussions regarding the themes and the film representation of issues that are endemic to the city. What further makes it the most comprehensive of film shows is the screening of feature films from the silent cinema genre, including the screening of the classic ‘Nosferatu’. The Festival 2009 is one of those unique London events that have a specially-themed closing event. After the week-long festivities, the closing night will witness the screening of the documentary titled ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. Venues for this event are spread throughout London and the availability of tickets could be a major issue, so ensure checking the local listings and booking your seat in advance.

Let the Floral Fever Grip You: Hampton’s Flower Show

by Administrator 5. March 2009 09:12
Among the most sought-after London events hosted during the summers is the Flower Show held at the Hampton Court Palace. It is held during the month of July and is an absolutely exceptional garden spectacle. It is perhaps the largest in its category, across the globe. It usually lasts for six days and attracts thousands of visitors. Some visitors might complain that the few items that are put-up for purchase at Hampton’s Flower Show are exorbitantly priced but then buying is not really the priority here. This is one of the few botanic-themed London events that ought to be visited just to witness the magnificent display of the unique Water Gardens and all the new concepts that are deemed as bright prospects for fame in the world of garden designing. This is one of those rare outdoor events that focus on domestic gardens and this exemplifies the uniqueness that is associated with the Hampton Court Show.

The zest to participate and showcase their best can be literally felt as hundreds of nurseries from across the UK display their floral creations in the dedicated exhibition areas. Every year, there are some specific themes that are the usual crowd-pullers. In 2008, it was the show titled ‘Inspiring Spaces’ that had engaged everyone’s attention. Actually, it was an improvement over its earlier incarnation and for a change, it suggested some very practical household ideas that could be used to lighten-up difficult areas around the house such as the small balconies or your conventional patio. Showcases like this have raised the appeal of the Hampton floral show among those looking to synchronise their Home and Garden spaces.

A perpetual favourite at the Show, for the last few years, has been a collection of ideas that describe in detail how to brighten a typical domestic balcony space through by manipulating container spaces and managing to balance the space shared by the flowers and the people. However, this is just one example from a plethora of ideas that range from the most contemporary to downright conservative. There are ample garden design ideas on exhibition that would appeal to the most unimaginative of garden lovers. Apart from its appeal for people looking to harmonise their Home and Garden spaces, the Show has some seasonal festivals too. The most recent ones include the Festival of Roses that had the most remarkable collection of floral art which stood out because of the manner in which it blended the slightly bizarre patterns with more unadventurous sensibilities. Another usual feature in such outdoor events is the stress laid upon fruit and vegetables derived in the most pure (read organic) way.

Get your dose of Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake The Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London Exhibition

by Administrator 3. March 2009 08:23
It has been some time since literary London events have caught the public attention with such an overwhelming frenzy. The Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake Exhibition, being displayed as a part of the Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London shows are already enthralling individuals from all walks of life. The Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London exhibition can be understood as the most exclusive of travelling art shows that London has ever hosted. For the moment, it has been scheduled at the V&A Museum of Childhood and is being organised by the Seven Stories Museum — an establishment that has a reputation for providing the best in children's literature. Some folks have gone on to dub it as among the best of art events that London has witnessed in recent times although it does not boast of any great artists. The reason lies in the wonderful manner in which some brilliant and a few outrightly bizarre creations have been exhibited. Most of them have never been displayed in a public forum and they combine the expanse of Dahl's grand imagination with Blake's sense of creating typically detailed illustrations.

Initially, thought of as an event meant for the children, the Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London exhibition is now being regarded as one of London’s most prestigious art shows. It has been successful in providing artistic insights to what made Quentin Blake illustrations so amazingly different. Further, this is the first time that an art event has taken the initiative to explain the kind of creative process that that made Dahl's characters so real life-like and hence, engaged the attention of book readers across all genres. The Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake Exhibition has something that no other contemporary art shows can ever offer. It displays Dahl's infamous Norwegian sandal that inspired the now popular BFG footwear design. Also, Dahl and Blake fans must not miss the opportunity to see authentic video footage of Blake’s work in progress, at his London studio — another first-of-a-kind for London art events along with an audio recording of Dahl himself reading his favourite stories. Further, how many exhibitions in London have been able to invite the presence of Quentin Blake in person, who will be at V&A Museum to interact with his fans.

If you are a Big Friendly Giant fan then attending this event cannot be an option for you — no other London exhibition has been able to put-up such a huge BFG cave replica, complete with the essential ingredients, i.e. Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle, along with the Dream Catchers. What started out as a travelling exhibition of the best in children’s literature has now progressed into the most sought-after London events with the best in Dahl and Blake collaboration being put on display. There are ample of resources to explain how this creative team gelled together to create what are essentially contemporary reading masterpieces. Those who had been complaining about the lack of children-themed shows in London that could also serve as entertaining social events for the adults in the family should definitely attend the Snozzcumbers-Frobscottle Exhibition. To popularize it as a part of happening London social events, the entire exhibition is being offered as the ‘Frobscottle Weekend’. It opened with the exhibition ceremony on 2nd May and is scheduled to go on until 6th September 2009. There is no entry fee and there are no age restrictions either. The timings are from 10:00 to 17:45 and the attendance crescendo peaks during the evening hours.

by Administrator 9. February 2009 06:15

If you have been searching for London events that can help you understand the history and heritage of the city, then the ‘Story of London’ is here to answer all your questions. To be held across the city in June 2009, this is one of the rare indoor cum outdoor events that is dedicated to enlighten audiences about the national capital's culture and the people, enriched with interesting, never-before-told kind of facts. Further, what marks it as an important member in the list of London’s most anticipated social events is the range of interactive tools that will be used to enthral audiences to ensure that this is an educational and entertaining exercise. The emphasis will largely be on the displaying the cultural heritage of the city and many local bands have been enlisted for performing live during the daytime and also during the evenings which will be combined with performances from well-known theatre artists. To ensure that the event maintains its identity among London’s unique outdoor events, many walking tours along with lectures from city scholars too will be arranged. Live music concerts have been arranged at noteworthy venues like the Royal Academy of Music and the Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club. There is already a rush to get tickets for these performances as they coincide with the 50th anniversary celebrations by the Ronnie Scott Club.

As a result, the music will be accompanied by rare inputs regarding the jazz history of London, making it one of the most eagerly-awaited jazz music events to have been hosted in London in recent times. This makes it a not-to-be-missed music show for jazz fans as many small feature films and archive screenings from yesteryears have been promised. Most of the music events to be held as a part of the ‘Story of London’ have been scheduled from 12th June to 14th June 2009. Those who have been complaining about London outdoor events becoming too familiar and not being able to offer something radically different should get their bookings done for the Walking Weekends that are being arranged as a part of the ‘Story of London’. The walking tours have been designed to provide you an insight into the history of the city, particularly how it has transformed into the multi-dimensional metropolitan it is today. Participants just cannot afford to grumble about the lack choices regarding the walks — there are more than 120 types of walking routes being offered! Similarly, there are Film Weekends and Living Weekends that are being offered and participants can combine any of these according to their convenience. Further, the Museum of London has been enrolled to provide participants get acquainted with the British royalty and their exploits during famous wars. Perhaps, none among recent London events could boast of such elaborate 500th anniversary celebrations of the accession of Henry VIII, complete with a coronation ceremony that would be spread over an entire weekend, beginning on Saturday, the 20th of June to Sunday to the 21st of June. Folks who think that historic city events can be fashionably-challenged should be reminded that this event will also see a Tudor pageant that will precede the royal procession that has been arranged at the Tower of London. The procession will eventually lead to a sailing event to be held along the River Thames and will end at the Royal Hampton Court Palace. The ‘Story of London’ can be simply understood as a package of many London events that will be held simultaneously throughout London in June 2009 and venues and local listings will have to be confirmed a few days in advance. There are no age restrictions for willing participants.

Important dates and the respective events for the Story of London 2009 include:

Boccia - Play this game

by Administrator 7. February 2009 04:54
One of the most-anticipated outdoor events in London for this year was recently held. This was the first round of the 2009 Panathlon Challenge that was organised near the Olympic Park in East London. The Panathlon is basically an inter-borough competition that is increasingly gaining prominence among outdoor London events, particularly among the disabled teenagers. Among the more popular sports events that are hosted as a part of the Panathlon are the Boccia games. Boccia is slowly evolving among the sports-oriented London events. As a result of the undying efforts of its patrons, it is now regarded as an official Cerebral Palsy Sport and even has a national league for itself.

Those thinking that Boccia can’t be counted among the more serious sports events are in for a big surprise — its national league currently has 95 participating teams and 16 divisions in the UK and London is the hub of this sport. Boccia is now a recognised Paralympic sport and will be a part of the 2012 London Olympic Games, as one of the main outdoor events. Presently, volunteers are trying to augment public knowledge about Boccia across central and east London areas. Boccia is regarded as a game of mental keenness with some level of physicality involved in it. Just because it is played by people who move around on wheelchairs, doesn’t mean that it should be regarded as an easy or casual sport.

Many small Boccia tournaments have been held in the past three to four years, particularly in the central London region. Boccia games are all-inclusive sports events that offer an amazing level of versatility for folks willing to try out something new. Boccia outdoor events include games that can be played in singles, doubles or team formats, depending on the availability of the number of participants. For the uninitiated, a game of Boccia involves opposite teams having either blue or red balls. The only way to score points and outscore your opposition is by getting your team ball closer to the white ball (called the jack or the scoring ball).

First-time spectators who see Boccia games are often left amazed by the level of skill and strategic thinking that goes into scoring points. What gives Boccia sports events a great chance of gaining prominence among the more popular outdoor London events is the fact that despite being mainly played by the disabled, there aren’t any restrictions on the kind of people who can participate. In fact, many Boccia tournaments involve players across a vast cross-section of society, irrespective of their physical ability/disability or level of physical strength.

London Fashion

by Administrator 11. January 2009 10:47

You have often heard one say, “A man is known by the company he keeps”. However it seems these days that a person is more likely to be known by the attire he/she wears. It is considered, that the biggest mistake a person can ever commit is a fashion faux pas. One thing that is inevitable in the fashion world is change. We are consistently being presented with various advertisement gigs that portray what famous celebrities are wearing and this has a direct impact on our lives. While shopping for clothes, a typical teenager would often say, “I want a dress that resembles what Bono was wearing in his latest music video”. Today, fashion dictates our lives and what we wear. Whether it is at a party or at work, we want our dress to reflect our taste and attitude. On other occasions, we are keener on making a personal style statement.

No lucid citation can be made regarding the advent of the London fashion culture. It dates back to the period during the Hippie culture which was originally a youth movement that began in the United States. It started during the 1960s and spread all over the world. This was probably one of the first major fashion influence that the world had witnessed. Hippie fashions and values had a profound impact on global culture and influenced major areas such as television, film and popular music. One such example was the use of homemade tie-dyed t-shirts that had become very popular.

The end of the Second World War had some more revolutionary fashion changes in store.During the 1930s, actresses Katharine Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich were often photographed wearing trousers and this made trousers more acceptable for women.By the end of the war, women had experienced a sense of independence, were experiencing their own individuality and were more liberalized. This allowed the women to fight for their rights and influenced a change in what they started to wear. Gradually, this had an impact on the women of London. They became wary of the fashion culture and became susceptible to change in what they wore.

During the early to mid 1970s, “Punk” originated as a style in London from the designer Vivienne Westwood and her partner Malcolm McLaren. Nonconformist and postmodernist in its nature and essence, this resulted from the economic depression that was prevalent during this period in London.

When it comes to fashion, London is one of the fashion capitals of the world. The others being Milan, Paris and New York City. London now hosts a plethora of London Fashion Events with the London Fashion Week event being most popular. A bi-annual event, the London Fashion Week now forms part of one of London’s leading events attracting a target audience comprising of eminent fashion personalities, retailers and press. A lot of other London Events remain associated with London Fashion Events and they are London Social Events, London Art Events and London shows.

Simple formal wear are now a passé. Even for common masses, sophistication is the key to perfect dressing, whether the occasion is formal or informal. However, a pair of well-fitted jeans is least likely to fall out of fashion. Jeans are trousers made from denim, and they became quite popular with the teenagers starting in the 1950s and remain in vogue till date.

Few Reasons to Attend Solar Cooking Events

by Administrator 11. January 2009 09:55

Maybe solar cooking as a food preparation style does not excites you much and thus every other pamphlet or commercial regarding an upcoming solar cooking event is easily ignored. However, as easy it is to ignore such events, it will be as difficult to deal with the eventual shortages and possible health implications.

Solar cooking effectively deals with fuel scarcities and most importantly eliminates pollution related health hazards. The stated is especially vital for not so developed regions, where wood or dung suffices as the key cooking fuel. Details about wood scarcity are quite eloquent and much does not needs to be highlighted here.

With solar cooking, there is no smoke i.e. zero pollution and the slow cooking style preserves food nutrients. This implies no irritation or botheration to eyes or lungs. Many diseases can also be avoided with the help of solar cooking. Besides the method is simple and safe; there simply are no cooking hazards for the cook or anybody else inside the kitchen, during or post cooking hours.

Additionally, solar cooking is quite economical. The food preparation style is dependent upon solar light, which is freely available. Solar cooking is also a pleasant respite for those who have to cook, but do not have as much time to devote towards this activity. But solar cooking is slower and would take more time, then? Do not confuse yourself, with time the reference is towards time spent towards actually checking the food status. With solar cooking, food is to be placed in the cooker and left till whenever. It is moderate cooking and thus there are negligible chances of food getting burnt or overcooked. Besides solar cookers are portable and can be taken along during picnics, camping, adventure trips, etc. In addition to cooking, solar utensils can also be used as disinfectants.

The stated is just an overview of the various benefits associated with solar cooking, it is only after attending a solar cooking event, that the precise details can be better grasped. Catching up with solar cooking events is not difficult. There are various solar cooking workshops, demonstration and related events being regularly organized in London and across. While there are private players working to educate all, even government is organizing public events to apprise the enthused.

The solar cooking events give details about the various solar cooking utensils available in market, cooking procedure, tips to setup solar cooking business, marketing info, how to make your own solar oven and more. The events promote two way discussions and are highly educational for those seeking any information on this regard. Back from an Art Event … Time For Some Preservation Tips

by Administrator 11. January 2009 09:42

Art events are a mesmerizing set of proceedings, which always drift the soul, another few inches closer to the life. Loaded with artistic nutrients, art events are a perfect place for those who crave to capture beauty in frame and thus take along those precious expressions. But as we live and shop for the various priceless emotions at the art events and exhibition, the preservation aspect gains immediate pertinence. This is true especially for the valuable oil paintings, which if not adequately cared for, tend to lose charm with time. Moreover, these classy oil painting come along with an expensive price tag and thus for years after the event, you would like to keep them, as they were, when you first saw them. Besides the paintings brings along with them effort and dedication of an artist, which for sure deserves special attention. While many think it is out rightly impossible to retain original flavour, following few guidelines can certainly help with the endeavour.

The first maintenance tip requires keeping off the dust. Only soft brushes or cotton buds or fibre cloth is to be used for this purpose and of course do not even try bumping the painting or pushing it against any surface. For the back side, either the brush or vacuum cleaner can be used. While cleaning, do not touch the artwork, use the frame for handling purposes. Keep in mind that the painting is very delicate and thus extreme caution is mandatory. If nothing else, try recalling the precautions event staff was exercising during the display and sale procedures. Also do not keep the painting for long under direct sunlight. Neither too cold, nor too humid is the perfect temperature instructions. If furnishing the wall with live plants, avoid direct contact with the painting. Likewise close proximity to fireplaces is not a wonderful idea. The painting needs its space, give it a personal wall. For temporary storage, cover both sides with cardboards, bubble wrap and tape firmly.

Oil paintings and other art forms bring with them the elements of pride and joy. It would be a real delight to be able to maintain these rare artistic assets for generations and it is not much of effort. So next time when you plan a visit to an art event, gallery or exhibition, do to not be scared of buying, preservation is possible.

Playing the Event Presenter – Deal with Stage Fear

by Administrator 11. January 2009 09:34

So you have been invited to share your knowledge and experience with the distinguished group of business leaders, at one of the upcoming entrepreneurs’ events in London. Seminar would be covered by leading media channels and anyone who really matters would be a part of the event. Prestigious … for sure, but scary to the core.

Stage fear is not a function of experience or intelligence. Even the most famous performers have been vocal about their apprehensions, while performing in front of an audience and thus if the presentation ceremony scares you, there is nothing unnatural about it. But yes, if this panic does not subsides and affects the final presentation ceremony, it would not really be a delighting experience. While all eyes are set on you, the presentation minus confidence will not really boost the implied business proliferation prospects. It is thus vital that stage fright be adequately managed and the opportunity en-cashed, to the optimum level.

Tips to overcome stage fear:

• Be prepared and keep reminding yourself that you are prepared: event is scheduled next week, is the presentation ready? Do you know your material inside out? Have you prepared a list of possible questions and corresponding answers? Is the research extensive? Ask these questions as many times as you can. Positive reply will boost your confidence and prepare you for the entrepreneurs’ event.
• Expect mixed crowd – there will be the most pleasant faces welcoming you and the stern looks waiting to rip you apart. Any event includes mixed gatherings, thus while preparing or presenting do not let yourself dwindle because somebody in the first row might think you are awful.
• Tell yourself that you are the best for the job – it is an important event and a naïve speaker will anyways not be entertained. Thus if you have been invited to present, it is because you really are skilled enough to take up the job and thereby deserve to occupy the position at the podium. So do not be inhibited by the credentials of those attending the event.
• Enjoy the day – you are the king of the day; the event has given you that lifetime opportunity. So why waste energy thinking about the worse. Allow yourself the visions of success and see the stage fright disperse.
• Observe others – before the grand event, spare yourself few hours and observe others performing the job with elegance. Check out the various events in London at http://events366.com/ and make notes for your presentation.

Budgeting the Event Exhibition Costs

by Administrator 11. January 2009 09:12

Business events are an important networking platform, which no commercial setup can afford to ignore. However, while the relevance of these events is unquestionable, there is another facet demanding specific attention and that is the associated cost. Though, exhibiting in an event offers exposure, which is the most definite gateway to enhanced business possibilities, there also are associated expensive attendance tags, which are a concern especially for new setups. But then it is the new establishment which most earnestly requires to get into the networking chain and build a worthy contact list. In fact the costs of attending networking events should be treated as a long term investment, which is certain to yield positives results. Does this therefore implies that the cost factor be completely ignored, while planning to exhibit in an event?

Monetary constraints are important and under no circumstances can they be placed at the end of priority list. Instead the outlay must be kept in mind and communicated to the company representatives, attending the event. This shall help them understand the effort embedded in the upcoming exhibition and thus the importance of event for the entire organization.

But while the costs can be analyzed from a different perspective, they still need to be wisely managed or rather reduced to the best extent possible. This can happen by precise budgeting, which begins by penning the key cost heads. Below mentioned listing can be used as reference.

• Event registration and exhibition fee
• Space charges
• Booth infrastructure costs (stand, carpets, furniture, etc., included in this category)
• Promotional expenses
• Staffing expenses
• Travel, transportation and lodging expenses
• Insurance charges
• Miscellaneous (clear up cost, damage repairs, etc)

There is nothing much that can be done to lower the event attendance and exhibition fee, unless you or your organization is a member with special bodies. Various events offer special discounts for selected groups. An advice in this section is to book at the earliest and benefit from the applicable early bird packages.

Space and booth infrastructure costs are two cost categories of extreme relevance, as this is where maximum budgeting options are possible. Ideal site is required and yet it must be economical. The key is to visualize, like an attendee and not an exhibitor. For infrastructure, you could go for custom stands or get your own made. Again, be very clear of the costing in this category. And do not ignore lighting and electric charges, they can be high. Under the staffing head, more than the cost, training element is of relevance. Travel, transportation and lodging expenses depend upon the venue of the event.

As apparent from the details listed above, it would not be an inexpensive affair and thus in addition to budgeting, it is important that the presence is ensured at events which are of appropriate relevance to your business. For the same, events listing at http://www.events366.com can be scrolled.

Career Events – The Roadmap to Eventful Career

by Administrator 11. January 2009 09:07

Finding a suitable job is a simple process. Source a paper and pen or alternatively switch on the system. Start making your resume and if you think you are not very good with the job, hire a resume writer to accomplish the task. With the CV finalized, start applying. You could opt to drop a mail individually to the HR departments of the preferred companies or post the details online with various job portals. Additionally browsing through the classified section is important, and you’ll have to regularly search online, for new postings, maybe on daily basis. And even if after all the effort, there is no reply from the other end, do not panic. Managers are busy and competition is stiff, you must keep trying.

It is always easy to advice others, but only those who have attempted to search jobs before or are currently looking for a job change, are aware of the extremities of job market. In those desperate times, there are only few things applicant can think of. Wish there was a way to schedule that first interview / meeting or maybe only if I knew somebody inside the company.

Well the best way to materialize these wishful plans is by checking out the career events. Career events are not just gatherings, but are an opportunity for the job aspirants to establish discussions with prospective employers and thus make the job hunt easier. At career events, there is an option to approach the companies and thus present credentials in a much more personal manner, than via any other optional route. No other promotional strategy or detailed mail exchange can replicate the positives extended by a one to one interaction, as enabled by these career events.

When discussing about career events and other such networking opportunities, there is a common issue raised by many, who have attended these events before. The problem revolves around approaching and establishing contact. Many job aspirants are intimidated by the idea of contacting learned professionals. However, as you get ready to attend a job fair or a career event, bear in mind that even the companies attending career events are looking for qualified professionals. That is, even the other party involved in the discussion, is willing to entertain you and thus discuss probable opportunities. Professionals who are attend events on behalf of reputed setups, have spared valuable resources to be a part of these social proceedings, and thus are more than willing to establish meaningful dialogue.

So instead of wasting more time with the newspaper and online job portals, get into the real job search. It is not about getting the resume printed on a fancy paper or shopping for yet another expensive business suit, but contacting the right people, under the most suitable set of circumstances, as offered by the career events. Simply clicking on the career events in London section at http://www.events366.com/ will initiate the process for you.

London Nightlife

by Administrator 11. December 2008 11:04

A day ends as dusk approaches, the night is young and London awakens to a new dawn with the city lit up bright. It is late at night, but the neon lamps, halogens and the party lights continue to glow till the wee hours of the morning. This is a night for those who never sleep. London Events find a new mode of expression.

Ever since the invention of electricity, people have never stopped short to move out in the dark. Evenings used to comprise of in-house family gatherings followed by dinner before the invention of electricity. People used to rest their tired feet after a hard day’s work and would continue their work, during the following day.

Electricity was invented and soon, dazzling lights against the dark backdrop of the night became a center of attraction for all. The concept of unwinding and socializing was revolutionized and people began to plan for their evenings. Everyone wanted to be outside and party late into the night before finally resting their tired body and feet.

London was a part of this social revolution and at the very advent, witnessed the launch of the English Pub, a fundamental genre of the English culture and an institution in itself. The pub culture of London was first derived from the Romans and for almost hundreds of years since then, the English Pub has been the backbone of the English social life. The English pub has in fact, been more of a heritage in London and ever since the arrival of the pub philosophy, has served as a favourite meeting place for the neighbourhood.

Soon, clubs started to mushroom all over London, catering to the needs of both the young and the old. With the passage of time and as a major makeover, clubs started to stage dance and disco Then came another revolutionary change when clubs and pubs were licensed to remain open for late hours. The words “night” and “club” amalgamated and formed the “nightclub”, a new venue that redefined the clubbing concept. People would dance and party late into the night and would continue till the early hours in the morning. This philosophy was more comfortably embraced by the young and the middle-aged.

A typical modern London night out might start with a group of friends at the pub or at a bar, enjoying beer- either the draught or the bottled variant, or, your favourite liquor. Instead, you might want to jive to a bewildering array of music at a nightclub with your friends. Whatever be your musical inclination, rock, hip-hop, trance, metal, let the nightclubs give you the vibe to move your body to the music you like. Especially Saturdays in London nightclubs are a ritzy affair and some of the best DJs of Europe come here to perform.

The night would go on, untamed as you set yourself loose to some groovy music on the dance floor. After finishing off with your drinks and dancing, fast food restaurants will soothe your hungry stomach as you soon realize that it is high time that you got some sleep!

Much of the nightlife in London is now in the SOHO area, which is located in the center of the West End of London, England, in the city of Westminster. It has a reputation for its film industry and theatres, as well as the pubs, bars and trendy nightclubs. In recent times, this area has developed into a fashionable district comprising of posh restaurants and media institutions.

Covent Garden is another such area famous for its nightlife. It is located on the easternmost parts of the City of Westminster. This area is dominated by street performers, and is a common shopping destination. Many entertainment facilities are available here including the entrance to the Royal Opera House.

Without a matter of doubt, London supposedly is one of the cities which has the most pulsating nightlife in the whole of Europe. Events366.com will provide you regular updates on London Events that even include some nightclub events in particular. The precise information that we provide, may help you choose to be a part of any desired London Event of your choice.

City of London

by Administrator 11. December 2008 10:31

The City of London has emerged into a major financial and business centre, and is ranked at par with New York City. It is one of the leading centers of global finance. Albeit the fact that the city has a resident population of under 10000, it employs around 340,000 professional workers who work primarily in the finance sector. These statistics have revealed that undoubtedly, London City is the richest square mile in the world. The City can be considered as the financial powerhouse of London, presently housing many financial giants. The London Stock Exchange, the Lloyd’s of London and the Bank of England are just to name a few. During the early 1980s, the Docklands began development as an alternative financial centre for London. It is now home to the Financial Services Authority and it houses some significant financial corporations such as Credit Suisse, Barclays Bank, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, HSBC and Bank of America. The City of London and Docklands is presently home to more than 500 banking institutions. The financial contributions from these institutions have not only triggered substantial amounts of financial growth in the City but also have given rise to an extensive number of London Networking Events and London Entrepreneur Events. For jurisdiction purposes, the Old Bailey court is here, which acts as a central court for both England and Wales.

It is quite impossible to say that someone knows this city truly well. As a matter of fact, this city has rapidly revolutionized from a suburb of historical monuments and buildings into a sprawling metropolis. London Fashion Events stage the facets of the modern London culture. However, the old historic buildings have preserved the rich culture, heritage and art of the past amidst the modernized city culture, and have consistently provided a natural backdrop for staging London Art Events and London Exhibitions in particular and London Shows in general.

The old buildings of the City include the Tower of London, the Baynard’s Castle and the Montfichet’s Castle. These were built by William the conqueror to prevent invasion from rivals and to keep the Londoners subdued. Located in the North bank of the river Thames in Central London, the Tower of London houses the crown jewels and the tales of mysterious prisons for some significant prisoners.

The narrow streets at the City of London filled with the exotic aroma from the plethora of restaurants will take you by surprise. These restaurants offer some exquisite dining deals. The London community is now frequenting more London Social Events, some of which have fine wine tasting to offer.

London is the potpourri of Luxury. The luxury hotels, plush suites, luxury boats cater to the rich and the wealthy. Then there are the jet-set jewels, designers and princely antiques which simply demand your attention in more ways than one.

The day of a Londoner comes to a tiring end while the eve is planned for attending major London Events across the city. Whether it is a London Music Event, a London Fashion Event or a London Social Event, you take your pick. London Events are here to refresh and rejuvenate your senses, for the day that is just about to dawn.  Events366.com provides you content which precisely depicts information regarding events that cater to your likes in particular, and London Events in general.

London Southwark Events

by Administrator 14. November 2008 11:19

London is considered to be one of the most happening places in the world for it reveals a combination of culture and technology. The famous River Thames that flows through the south of England owes its celebrity status to the fact that it flows through the heart of London. Just south of the London Bridge, which, as we know, is situated over the River Thames, lies an area called Southwark.

In early days it used to be just another small town of London full of factories and warehouses. But now, if you see it, it is like a completely new place. It has done a complete makeover. Now its full of fancy apartments, bars, restaurants, the complete works! And the most interesting heritage of this once small town is the World famous Tate! Yes! The very one that shows such a grand scale of interesting and, more often than not, controversial works of art. Especially for foreigners, it is a true picture of the British opinion of Modern Art. From time to time, it features performances and shows that sure would be hard to resist! It is a place that should be made a definite stop in travel plans if you are one who is interested in the art events in London!

Not only that, this year Southwark has organised a band concert every Sunday of the week which began in May this year. These London shows surely promise us that whenever we visit Southwark, there will be something that music lovers will find to quench their curiosity about the London music events!

If you ask the Southwark dwellers, they would be proud to tell you that they organise many exciting events like the Carnival del pueblo, the UK's largest Latin American festival and Thames Festival which stretches from the London Eye to Tower Bridge! It would certainly interest you to know that these London events placed in succession creates the longest street theatre in Europe! Events such as Boundless, Silver and I Love Peckham show are their ways to increase involvement and participation of the common people.

In case you are wondering what Boundless is, it is a sort of fortnight long festival involving London art events, sports activities, dance shows and much much more. Silver, on the other hand is another festival that includes film, theatre, art, dancing, gardening; something for almost everybody. I love Peckham show is their tribute to Peckham and their culture.

Hence, if you are interested in London Exhibitions, London charity events, London entrepreneur events, London fashion shows, networking events or even London social events, then the best place to go is Southwark which patrons all the above and so much more! It will truly be an exciting memorable adventure!

Privacy Issues When Attending Events

by master 23. October 2008 07:03

Personal privacy is very important.  Every human has the right to keep his/her life private.  In today’s connected world your information or information about you may exist at hundreds or even thousands of locations, systems, files and databases.  No entity, company or person can guarantee that this information cannot fall into the wrong hands; regardless of the promises they make.  So it is your responsibility to ensure that you do not disclose more information than is necessary.  Before providing information, stop, and think if that information is really necessary for the function that the recipient is providing or the task the recipient is accomplishing.  If you conclude that the information should not be needed, just do not disclose it.  Walk away from the event - do not attend the event.

When buying event tickets or registering for events, if event organizers ask for too much personal information, question it.  Ask why they need that information.  If you are not completely satisfied, do not provide the information even if it means that you cannot purchase the event tickets.

For example when buying tickets to film events you do not provide your name, date of birth or address.  So for a similar event, be it an online event or an event at a venue, you should not provide that information.  Be very careful when disclosing personal information to entities, people, companies who cannot explain the reasons for collecting the information, to your satisfaction.  Do not disclose sensitive information to anyone unless you know them very well.  Generally it is ok to disclose name and email address, as the worst that can happen is that you will receive some spam.  Sensitive information includes full mailing address, date of birth, credit cards, etc.

If your information is leaked, it is practically impossible to determine who disclosed it and if it was accidental or intentional.  Good basic rule is – if the event organizer cannot explain why he needs that information, do not disclose it.

Meeting People at Singles Events

by master 20. October 2008 06:51

Mingling with complete strangers is never easy.  You know nothing about these people or their intentions.  But this is exactly what single people need to do when they attend events such as dating events or singles events.  That is the objective – to meet people who you have never met before.  So what should a single person do?

No need to panic.  The situation is not as scary as it may sound.  Most people attend these events simply to meet other singles, and they have good intentions.  Many singles events are held at bars, clubs, restaurants or other public venues.  In addition to the singles attending the events, there are staff members and possibly even some security staff.

But there are precautions one can and must take.  One can take steps to ensure that one does not get too close to a person until one knows enough to make a proper decision.  Keep the following in mind:-

1. During introduction avoid giving full name or name of your company.
2. Do not give your home address until you know the person well.
3. When planning a date or meeting, select well known public places.
4. During initial meetings, do not leave your handbag with the person under any circumstances.
5. Do not invite the person to your home, or go to his/her house, until you feel very comfortable.
6. Do not get drunk at events or dates.  Not only it is bad for your health, it could also be a safety issue.

With the internet it really has become easier to meet new people, find new dates or even find a life partner.  Event organizers post hundreds of dating events and other events on the internet.  Use them to your advantage.  Make your life even more exciting.

So you want to organize an event?

by master 17. October 2008 06:39

Organizing an event for around 100 people or less is not a complex task.  Organizing an event should not be confused with Promoting Event.  Organizing an event starts with – purpose of the event.  Is it a book promotion?  Someone’s birthday.  Discussion on a specific topic.  A celebration.  Gathering of singles.  Or may be just a pub crawl.  The purpose of the event will determine what else you need to do.

Organizing an event costs money and time.  Who will be paying for your event?  The attendees or will you bear the costs?  Unless the event is of a personal nature (such as a birthday party), it is perfectly normal to charge for the event.  Free events sound nice, but they almost always attract the wrong audience.  Many who promise to come never show up, and many others who do come, may not contribute in the manner you expect them to.

This brings us to the next point.  Establish who is your target audience – professional background, age group, industry/interests, etc.  If you are only inviting people you already know, of course this is not an issue.  But if the event is open to public, ensuring that the ‘right’ people attend your event is very important.  Many events fail simply because they end up being a hodgepodge of people who have little in common.

Most events require a venue.  Where should the venue be?  No, it should not necessarily be close to your house, unless your target audience lives in your neighbourhood.  Otherwise select a venue which is central and easy for most people to reach.  More importantly, select a venue which is easy to find, is safe and clean.  Make sure you visit the venue yourself first.  Note the nearest station, bus stops and landmarks, so that you can give this information to your audience.  Make it easy for them, and it is likely they will come.  It is surprising how often event organizers have never visited the venue themselves before the event.  If you are the event organizer it is Your responsibility to ensure that the venue is centrally located, is clean and is safe.  You need to provide all information, including clear directions, maps, etc.

If your event is open to public, you will need to promote your event.  You need to tell people you are organizing an event and provide them with all the details.  There are many ways one can promote an event.  Advertising events can cost a good amount of money.  You can also post your event on event promotion sites, such as www.Events366.com.

Finally, you need to plan what happens when your audience arrives.  In most events attendees expect the event organizer to help them ‘settle’ in the event or to introduce them to other attendees.  Free-format events where the event organizer is no where to be seen, or is drunk or is sitting down chatting within one group, usually are boring and have the feel of a fish market.

To summarize:-
1) You must have a clear objective for your event.
2) If the event is open to public, it is better to charge attendees, so that you have the funds to organize the event (unless you are rich).
3) Pick a decent venue which is centrally located.
4) Ensure the venue meets the expectations of your target audience.
5) Promote the event well. Advertise it.
6) Get your priorities and duties right.  Plan what you will do at the event.
7) Enjoy your event!

A great Business Networking Event

by master 15. October 2008 06:08

We now live in a world of entrepreneurs.  It is so easy to start a business that almost anyone, with or without any ideas, with or without much money, can start a business and become an ‘Entrepreneur’.

Achieving success in business however is a different matter, and much harder to achieve.  Regardless of what some people may say success in business can only be measured in one way – profit.  No profit, no success.  The purpose of any business is to make a profit.  There are many factors which may determine how successful a business is.  Market size, Target audience, Industry, Economic conditions, Business model, Competition are some of the factors.  Some are predictable, others are not.

One important factor that many overlook is Business Networking.  It is important to meet and connect with the right people.  And you can meet the right people at various Business Networking Events.

To make your trip to the event more productive, and to get some return on your investment, you need to stay in control.  At the networking event stay focused, invest your time in people who are likely to benefit your business.  More importantly, do not spend all of your time at the event with one person – do not put all your eggs in one basket.  Talk to as many people as you can, but avoid drunks.  Getting drunk and business networking are two completely different things.

When talking to people, engage, question, challenge – in short do not hesitate to push buttons.  You need to separate the boys from the men.  You need to focus on people who are very serious about business, and can possibly offer you skills which complement yours.

Avoid business networking events which are held in pubs or bars.  As mentioned earlier drinking alcohol and meeting/evaluating business resources have nothing in common.  Avoid events with speakers (unless you enjoy talk shoes on TV) as they offer little opportunity to interact with many people.  Remember, generally (but not always) only people looking for publicity have the spare time to speak at these events.  These speakers cannot offer you anything of real value.  Real business-people are too busy making money, and do not waste their time speaking to a herd of people who are sitting getting bored.  Also, avoid events where people circle around a table for hours.  Again these events do not offer you the mobility which is a must in any business networking event.

Your purpose at a networking event is to stimulate your mind, to connect with people who can offer you the services you require and to learn from other people’s experiences.

London Events

by master 30. September 2008 05:14

So how can you tell me you're lonely, and say for you that the sun don't shine?
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London
I'll show you something to make you change your mind

Ralph McTell

Never did words ring so true as these! Think London and the first thing that comes to your mind is vivacity, euphoria and restlessness spilling from every corner. A city where heritage and cosmopolitan culture coexist peacefully, London attracts visitors for the sheer pleasure of being here. It boasts of something for everyone, just as every great city does. You find museums and galleries with appreciating glances on one side while Buckingham Palace or the Big Ben or Trafalgar Square on the other side need no introduction. And if you are in the mood for catching some celebrities, nothing gets better than a quick visit to the Madame Tussauds. Party hoppers can rely on an eclectic array of Clubs and DJ Bars while the connoisseurs find respite in the haven of a cultural dose of arts, music and theatre. Socialites hail it as Paradise and in their words "Spontaneous celebrations are what we look for and what better than the events in London?" Calling London a world in itself would not sound exaggerating!

A city as vibrant as this has events lined up for every occasion and even without one! London events have a charm of their own. The fine mix of exuberance and exotic ideas has lured thousands for centuries and continues to do so with equal vigor. Wine tasting and Dinner parties feature in the list of London social events that tantalize the senses. The Beer Festival at the same time depicts that London is not about intellectuals alone. Having fun is just another excuse here!

In a city as popular as this, networking is a must for obvious reasons. London Networking Events shed light on Financial Freedom, HR Matters to name a few while The London EASY summit and India Business Forum talk about the changing world. Oh yes!
